EPISODE 104 | THE MIX TAPE RADIO SHOW
Episode 104 kicks off with a stroll thru the blues, and before backs are arched and things fade to you, there’ll be some Allen Toussaint, Faye Webster, Lady Lamb, Frog and a whole bunch more audio niceness to treat your ears with. The Mix Tape Radio Show is a series of digital mix tapes that I’ve been putting together on Mixcloud for more than a few sporadic years; sometimes there were new episodes every 2nd week, sometimes there was nothing for months. Having a music blog is sketch like that.
But all that really matters is that the show manages to keep on keeping on, and because of that keeping on, episode number 104 is sitting right here, ready for you to press the ‘play’ button…
…because as inconsistent as the mix tape posting schedule could sometimes get over the years, the quality of the music featured on every episode has never been in question. At least not by me (and I’m basically just talking out loud to myself here, so…).
