In search of a routine more likely to get a new mix together for MTR - FRESH TAPES rotations on the weekly (back when I was doing a stretch of ‘a new Mixcloud mix EVERY week’ ambitions), I started mixing my mix tape making headphone time with my mix cd playlist shuffle updating headspace near the end of 2019 and I’ll be damned if it didn’t turn out to be one those rare “this seems like a good idea” ideas that actually turned out to be a good idea (as far as getting new mixes out the door every week goes)… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ … perhaps I need to look into bringing back some kind of version of this idea back here in the year 2023 (where I’m currently on a “new Mixcloud mix WHENEVER I have enough free time and/or have figured out a way to incorporate that workload into a life that requires also doing work that earns money” stretch). Anyways…

MTR - EPISODE 110
{a ‘Maple-Flavoured’ episode}Episode 110 was created by shuffling around in a HI54 Mix CD called ‘EH CANADA’ — which is a Spotify playlist I keep updated with 95 ace tracks/artists coming out of the great white north (so follow on Spotify for future updates/extended listening + also make sure to check out my The Provincial Playlists series).

If you find yourself enjoying any of the above, there are some pretty decent odds that following HI54LOFI out on the internets would not be the worst use of one of your internet clicks today (I tend to share things like the above on the regular-ish… so maybe we operate on similar wavelengths?)…
…and it probably wouldn’t be too bad of an idea to follow/shuffle thru the rest of the ‘EH CANADA ON MOUN.TOWN/FM’ Mix CD that this episode of MTR was pulled from, because something tells me if you liked the 8 songs featured in the latest mix tape, chances are good you’ll like a good chunk of the 87 other “canadian” tracks found in the full Spotify playlist.
